The idea behind Aidgle is simple: anyone who uses a search engine can help those in greatest need across the globe.
Search engines generate revenue when a user clicks on the paid links that are displayed at the top of the search results. The profit we make from these clicks is donated to non-profit organizations doing relief work in current disaster locations. For a list of locations to which we are providing aid, click here.
It is very easy for you to help someone receive the medicines they need, rebuild their house or eat three square meals a day. Simply use this search engine often and get other people to use it as well.
We also encourage you to set Aidgle as your homepage. Remember that every search that you make counts, and could make the difference for someone between eating or not this very day, or having a roof under which to sleep at night.

Aidgle is a custom version of the Google Search Engine, so the search results that you see here are the same as those you see if you use Google Search.

Where the help is going

Aidgle went online on September 16th 2007. So far it is the effort of one Peruvian college student in the United States.
On August 15th a 7.9 magnitude earthquake hit the coast of Peru killing more than 500 people and leaving at least 85,000 without a home. Government aid was slow to arrive, and thousands were left without food or shelter for days. Crime soared, many lost all of their possessions.
This and next month all of Aidgle's profit will be directed towards rebuilding the thousands of collapsed homes in the cities of Pisco, Ica and Chincha. In particular, it will be donated to the non-profit 'Hands on Disaster Response', currently active in the area. Please take the time to visit their website if you want to learn more about their efforts. If you are member of an organization active in the area and are interested in receiving funds from Aidgle as well, please contact us at organizations@aidgle.com.
The long term goal of this search engine is to assist in the relief efforts of organizations deployed in the most affected disaster zones worldwide. To achieve this goal we need many people searching through our site.
