Formerly the Union des Forces Progressistes, their name was changed in February 13th, 2006 to Quebec Solidaire. Union des Forces Progressistes itself was originally a merger between the Socialist Democratic Party,the Communist Party of Quebec and Rassemblement pour une Alternative Progressiste.
